The gates are open

A garden and nursery being brought back to life.

Come and wander through our old walled gardens, find something for your own garden, get inspiration from our display garden, and stay for coffee and cake.

Welcome in

Something lovely is taking root behind these walls.

Endsleigh Walled Gardens brings together plants grown here alongside a hand curated selection from other growers, a small coffee shop, a gift shop and a historic garden slowly being restored. Some corners are blooming, some are still wonderfully wild, and every visit shows you something a little different.

Come for plants grown and chosen with care, Cartwright Coffee, Tregothnan Tea, cakes and sweet treats from Foxcombe Bakehouse, and the chance to see this special place coming back to life.

There's no set way to visit. Browse the plants, follow the paths, find a quiet spot or ask us what's looking especially good this week.

The growing selection of plants at Endsleigh Walled Gardens

The nursery

We're growing lots of our own plants here, alongside a hand curated selection of herbaceous plants and shrubs from other growers. Our selection is growing as we are… if you're looking for something in particular, please do ask. We're happy to source plants for you.

Coffee & cake

Our small cafe serves Cartwright Coffee, Tregothnan Tea and cakes and sweet treats from Foxcombe Bakehouse. Find a spot to pause, or take something along for your wander.

The gardens

Old walls, quiet corners, wildlife and works in progress. Heritage trees and special specimens are being uncovered again as we work through the garden. This is restoration you can see as it happens.

The gift shop

A little collection of gifts, cards and things for the home and garden, all chosen with care.

A moment to pause

A little coffee, a little garden time.

Pick up a Cartwright Coffee or Tregothnan Tea from our small cafe and find a spot outside. There are cakes and sweet treats from Foxcombe Bakehouse on the counter too, if you fancy something after your wander.

Wildlife and conservation

Growing with nature.

There is so much life behind these walls. The moths, bees and other visitors we notice are part of what makes Endsleigh Walled Gardens special, and we want caring for them to be part of every step of the restoration.

Working with the garden.

We care for the gardens without chemical treatments or pesticides. Our approach is to work with nature, make room for wildlife and support the ecosystems that connect plants, insects and the wider garden.

As the restoration grows, we want to learn more about the wildlife already here and how we can help it thrive. Conservation is part of the future we are working towards.

Help us grow this work

A place for shared effort.

We would love to hear from conservation organisations, local businesses, researchers and people who share this interest. There is room to explore practical support, wildlife recording, learning activities and sponsorship of future habitat projects.

If your organisation could bring knowledge, time, materials or funding, please get in touch. We would love to talk about what we could do together.

Friends of Endsleigh Walled Gardens

We’ve been thinking for a while about how we could create something that helps Endsleigh Walled Gardens continue to grow, while also giving something genuinely worthwhile back to the people who support us.

So we’re launching Friends of Endsleigh Walled Gardens.

For the first year, we’re limiting it to just 50 Founding Members. The idea is a simple one, our membership helps support the continued development of the gardens, nursery and everything we’re slowly building here, and in return you’ll receive a few benefits throughout the year that make being part of Endsleigh Walled Gardens a little bit more special.

We really want this to feel like more than a discount scheme. It’s for those of you who visit us regularly, enjoy watching the gardens change, support what we’re trying to create and would like to be a little more involved as it develops.

Founding Membership is £57 for the first year and includes:

  • 5% off full priced plants in the nursery
  • One standard hot drink and one sweet treat each month
  • Priority booking for selected workshops and events

Our first 50 members will always be our Founding Friends of Endsleigh Walled Gardens, the people who joined us right at the beginning of this next stage.
